Privacy Policy

The Interpretive Path collects and uses only the information needed to operate this website and respond to people who contact us. This policy describes the site’s current launch practices.

Information you provide

If you use the Contact form, we collect your name, email address, optional topic, and message. We use this information only to review and respond to your message.

Please do not use the form for emergencies or include sensitive pastoral, medical, legal, financial, or safeguarding information.

The Interpretive Path does not sell Contact information, add it to a mailing list, or use it for advertising or marketing.

How Contact information is handled

The website keeps a local copy of each Contact submission for up to 30 days as a delivery-recovery measure. The form settings limit any recorded IP-address or geolocation metadata associated with a submission to one day. No geolocation add-on or browser-location request is enabled.

A notification containing the submitted Name, Email, Topic, and Message is sent through authenticated email to a founder-controlled inbox. The website does not send a visitor confirmation and does not maintain a separate email-content log. The email copy and any resulting correspondence may be retained as reasonably needed to respond and maintain that correspondence.

Routine recovery backups may retain deleted information until those backups expire under the site’s recovery schedule.

Technical information and necessary cookies

The hosting environment and WordPress may process limited technical information—such as an IP address, browser information, request time, and requested page—when needed to deliver, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the site.

The site may use cookies that are strictly necessary for administration, security, or functionality a visitor requests. TIP does not use advertising cookies or cross-site profiling.

Search monitoring and analytics

The Interpretive Path uses Google Search Console to understand how its public pages appear in Google Search. Search Console may report information such as search queries, page impressions, and clicks. Site ownership is verified through DNS; TIP has not added a Search Console visitor-tracking script, and Contact-form contents are not sent to Search Console.

TIP does not currently use a dedicated visitor-analytics service, advertising pixels, session replay, heatmaps, or analytics that capture Contact-form contents. Any future analytics or marketing service must be reviewed separately, and this policy must be updated before that service is enabled.

Service providers

The site’s hosting and authenticated-email providers process information as needed to host and protect the site, maintain recoverable backups, deliver Contact notifications, and support resulting correspondence.

The Contact form stores its recovery copy in the site’s WordPress database. The form publisher’s external account service is not connected, and optional plugin usage tracking is disabled. No CRM, marketing platform, CAPTCHA provider, payment service, file-upload service, webhook, or other Contact-form integration is connected.

External links

The site may link to Grace School of Theology and to TIP’s approved Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X pages. These are ordinary external links; TIP does not embed social feeds or follow widgets at launch.

If you follow an external link, the destination’s privacy practices apply to your activity there. TIP does not control those external services.

Your choices

You may ask The Interpretive Path to correct or delete information you submitted. A request may be limited by information that must be retained for legitimate operational, security, or legal reasons, resulting correspondence that still needs to be maintained, and the normal expiration of recovery backups.

Use the Contact page for a privacy question or request. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in your request.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be reviewed when the site’s forms, data practices, service providers, analytics, marketing, or external integrations materially change. The current version and effective date will be posted on this page.
